1. Start your own personal Kindness Diary. Keep track of
the acts of kindness you have done, but also note when someone has been
kind to you. Share these at your next meeting.
2. Make your own Kindness cards and give them to people
you love and then to some of the kids in your class.
3. Make your own Kindness Appreciation Certificatesand
present one each month to someone you all feel practices Simple Acts
of Care and Kindness every day.
4. Make a large banner for your school inviting children to draw pictures
about kindness on it.
5. Ask your teacher about having one week designated as Simple Acts
of Care and Kindness week. Challenge every student to do one act of
kindness each day and to write or tell a story about what he or she
did.
6. Ask your principal about celebrating World Kindness Week, the week
of November 13 (it's the same each year). Think of things that can be
done on a school-wide basis.
7. Ask your Parent Sponsor to call a Nursing Home and ask if your club
might visit. Make cards for each person and perhaps plant a flower or
draw a picture for them. Residents of Nursing Homes are very often very
lonely and would love to have you visit from time to time.
8. With the help of your parent sponsor, contact some of the local
merchants and ask if you can put Simple Acts of Care and Kindness posters
or artwork up in their businesses.
9. Start a recycling effort at your school.
10. Plant flowers in your community to make it a more beautiful place
to live.
